Privacy Policy

This policy covers the AudioBlend iOS app and the audioblend.io website, operated by Particle Bay Ltd ("Particle Bay", "we", "us"). The short version: AudioBlend has no accounts, no advertising, and it does not collect your personal data. The one thing the app does send is a crash report when something goes wrong, so we can fix it. That is explained in full below.

What we collect

AudioBlend has no user accounts. We never ask for, or receive, your name, email address, or Apple ID. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.

The app sends us crash and stability reports through a service called Sentry. These are the only reports the app sends. What they contain, and what they leave out, is described in the next section.

Crash and stability reports (Sentry)

When AudioBlend crashes, or hits an error it was not expecting, it sends a report to Sentry, a crash-reporting service run by Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry's privacy policy). We use these reports only to find and fix bugs.

What a report contains:

• Technical details of the crash (which part of the app failed, and the steps the app took just before)
• Your device model and iOS version
• The app version and build number
• The date and time of the crash
• A random installation identifier that Sentry generates, so repeated crashes on one device can be counted together

What a report does not contain: your name, email address, Apple ID, IP address, precise location, or the addresses of the web pages you were playing. The installation identifier is random, is not derived from your device's hardware identifiers, and cannot be used by us to work out who you are.

A small sample of app sessions (about 1 in 20) also sends a performance measurement — how long the app took to start playing, for example — so we can spot slow-downs. These measurements contain the same technical details as a crash report and nothing more.

Reports are stored in Sentry's European Union data region (Germany), kept for a limited period — 90 days under Sentry's standard settings — and then deleted automatically.

Beta (TestFlight) builds

If you choose to be one of our beta testers, the pre-release build you install sends more diagnostic detail than the App Store version, so testers' problems can be reproduced. In addition to the crash reports above, beta builds send a diagnostic log that includes the titles and addresses of the pages you play, and a recording of the app's own screens around the time of a problem. The content of web pages inside the app is masked in these recordings and is not captured. Beta builds also send performance measurements for every session, not a sample. None of this applies to the version of AudioBlend on the App Store.

Data stored on your device

AudioBlend saves your settings — such as slider positions, preferences, and the addresses of pages you have open — locally on your device so the app can restore your session. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the app.

Because AudioBlend includes a web browser, the websites you visit may store cookies and similar data in the app's browsing storage, just as they would in any browser. That data also stays on your device.

Third-party websites

AudioBlend includes a browser: the content you play comes from websites you choose to visit. When you load a website, it receives your requests directly (including your IP address) and its own privacy policy applies to what it collects. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the practices of third-party websites.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store and processed entirely by Apple. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple ID. To validate purchases and manage subscription status, the app may share an anonymized purchase receipt and a random app-generated identifier with a third-party subscription-management provider. This identifier is not linked to your identity. If the app crashes, the crash report may note which subscription screen was showing at the time, but not what you bought or paid.

Email

If you email us at hello@audioblend.io, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to respond to you, we don't add you to any mailing list, and we delete support correspondence when it is no longer needed.

This website

audioblend.io is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operations.

Children

AudioBlend includes unrestricted web access and is not directed at children. Do not use the app if you are under the minimum age required by the App Store rating in your region.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. We hold very little: support emails you have sent us, and crash reports that carry a random identifier rather than your name. Because crash reports are not linked to you, we cannot pick out which ones came from your device; they are deleted automatically at the end of the retention period above. For anything else, email hello@audioblend.io and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how AudioBlend handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect.

September 8, 2026: added the "Crash and stability reports" and "Beta (TestFlight) builds" sections. Earlier versions of this policy stated that the app ran no crash reporting; that was not accurate for the version submitted to the App Store, and this update corrects it.
